Quality Education 4 All

“Education is a vital human right and plays a key role in human, social, and economic development”.

Education,  informed  citizens  contribute  to  broad-based  prosperity,  informed  civic engagement and good governance. WI works with local and international partners to strengthen and broaden access to quality education, and increase people’s ability to access information through information technology, traditional and new media, and institutions like library.

Quality  Education  4  All  is  a  national  level  programme  of  Wibena  Impact,  which  is committed to providing basic quality education and healthcare to underprivileged children. Wibena Impact believes that whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights, there’s no better place to start than in the corridors of education.

Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life; means, because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one’s awareness on a range of issues – from healthcare to appropriate social behavior to understanding one’s rights, and in the process evolve as a better citizen.

Wibena  Institute’s  educational  initiatives  include  Pre-school  [3-6  yrs.],  Non  Formal Education  [6-14  yrs.  non-school  going],  Remedial  Education  [6-14  yrs.  school  going], Bridge Course [14-18 yrs. drop-outs] and Adult Education.

Education is a human right

Despite great progress in the last few years, millions of children are still denied their right to education. Restricted access to education is one of the surest ways of transmitting poverty from generation to generation. Education is a vital human right, enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Every girl and every boy should have the right to a quality education.  so that they can have more chances in life, including employment opportunities, better health and also to participate in the political process.

Investing in education yields significant development benefits

Education reduces poverty, boosts economic growth and increases income. It increases a person’s chances of having a healthy life, reduces maternal deaths, and combats diseases such as HIV and AIDS. Education can promote gender equality, reduce child marriage, and promote peace. In sum, education is one of the most important investments a country can make in its people and its future.

Education is essential to the success of every one of the 17 global goals

Formally adopted at the UN General Assembly in September 2015, the Development frame the global development agenda for 2016-2030. The Global Goal 4 on education aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.”
